I’d picked up an immersion heater for use in campsites with electricity, and we tried it in the RV park rec room this morning. Thing was useless, took like half an hour to heat 2 cups of water, so we donated it. It was kind of fun to make breakfast in this sad dark rec room though, and to realize how luxurious it can feel to have tables, chairs and a sink. I’m starting to see how this RV park thing has an appeal. You’re living inside, you’re within reach of amazing wilderness, you can have your dog with you... and, according to that chalkboard, Mexican Train (dominoes game my dad plays at his retirement community) every Thursday at 1!
Today’s going to include a moderate climb, and it looks like the weather’s coming in in the afternoon. Of course this is the mountains and we’ve had other days we expected rain which turned out great, so who knows..
Later when we had internet, googling ensued... turns out a young Trey Parker made a musical about this event.
All day we anticipated rain, but it never came. Was a fantastic, beautiful day of riding.
We stayed in another RV park, In Lake City. We had dinner at the Cannibal Grill. There were no humans on the menu.
